Loch Shiel is a lake located in Lochaber, Highland, Scotland. Rich in beauty and history, Loch Shiel has been utilized as the filming location and birthplace of Connor MacLeod from the 1986 The Highlander movie as well as being dubbed "Black Lake" and served as the lake located at the base of Hogwarts from the Harry Potter movies. This image, however, shows no hint of its fictional uses, instead it shows the beauty of autumn colors, the snowcapped mountains in the north. If you look really hard you may even make out the church roof and the hint of a village nestled within the autumn foliage just slightly above and to the left of the two horses resting on the pasture overlooking the loch.
